Start Here: Airport Facilities for Business Travelers
New Chitose Airport is made up of three buildings: the Domestic Terminal, the International Terminal and the connecting facility between them. Each area has facilities designed with business travelers in mind. Power outlets, Wi-Fi, private booths and lounges are spread across different places, so knowing where they are in advance saves time.
The Domestic Terminal runs from B1 to the 4th floor, and most of the work-friendly facilities are on floors 2 to 4. What you can access changes before and after security, so plan around your boarding schedule.
Where to Find Power and Wi-Fi
Free charging spots and high-speed Wi-Fi are available in several areas of the airport. Here they are, split into before and after security.
How to use the free Wi-Fi
Select the SSID "NewChitose_Airport_Free_Wi-Fi" and open your browser to connect, with no email address or social media account required. It's an open, unencrypted network, so a VPN is recommended for passwords and other sensitive traffic.
There are 43 access points across the Domestic Terminal, International Terminal and connecting walkway, covering almost the entire airport. Speeds of over 200 Mbps have been measured in the morning, which is more than enough for video calls.
Free charging spaces (before security)
Free power outlets are available at the following locations.
| Floor | Location |
|---|---|
| 1F (Arrivals Lobby) | Next to Lawson (near Arrival Gate 4) |
| 1F (Arrivals Lobby) | In front of the rental car counters (near Arrival Gate 3) |
| 2F (Center Plaza) | Beside the escalators |
They're available from 5:00 to 23:30. Seats tend to fill up at busy times, such as the morning departure rush and in the evening.
Counter desks and cafés with power
PRONTO on the 4th floor (7:30–22:00) has power outlets at its counter seats and free in-store Wi-Fi. The atmosphere is relatively calm, and it works well for anything from breakfast (until 10:00) to a long work session.
Counter desks with power are also set up throughout the waiting areas on floors 2 and 3. After security, the open spaces between the boarding gates have power outlets and USB ports as well.
Private Booths and Lounges for Serious Work
If you need to work for a long time or join a video meeting, a Telecube or a paid lounge is the way to go. Here are the prices and facilities.
Telecube (private work booths)
A Telecube is a lockable private booth that you can use for phone calls and video meetings. There are 13 in the public area before security, and more in the boarding area after security (in front of Gate 2 on the ANA side).

|---|---|
| Price (weekdays) | ¥330 / 15 min |
| Price (weekends & holidays) | ¥220 / 15 min |
| Hours | 7:00–21:00 |
| Facilities | Wi-Fi, ventilation fan, phone stand |

In the public area, the booths are spread out: 1F north side (ANA side), 1F south side (JAL side), the 2F connecting walkway, inside the 1F Center Building and elsewhere. Book in advance and you can use one as soon as you arrive.
Super Lounge (3F, before security)
It's in the northeast corner of the Domestic Terminal 3rd floor, next to the entrance to the observation deck. Hours are 7:00–20:30, and admission is ¥1,500 (tax included). You can enter free by showing an eligible credit card (gold or higher) with your boarding pass. Priority Pass is not accepted.
Most seats have power, and you can use the airport's free Wi-Fi. It's open to both departing and arriving passengers.
Super Lounge Annex (4F, opened June 2025)
A new lounge inside Oasis Park on the 4th floor of the Domestic Terminal. Admission is ¥1,500 (tax included) and includes soft drinks.
Every seat has a power outlet, making it easy to focus on work. The four private booths for video meetings are free for up to one hour, and every seat in the semi-private spaces comes with a monitor.
Places to Eat That Are Easy on Your Own
When you're traveling solo or on business, it helps to know which restaurants are comfortable to walk into alone. We've sorted them by whether they have counter seats and how quiet they are.
PRONTO New Chitose Airport (4F, before security)
A convenient café that works from breakfast through to the evening.
- Location: Domestic Terminal, 4F
- Hours: 7:30–22:00 (breakfast until 10:00)
- Seats: 68 (including counter seats)
- Wi-Fi: PRONTO FREE Wi-Fi available
- Power: Outlets at counter seats
Many customers come alone, and eating while you work feels completely natural here. It stays open the latest of any place in the airport, so you can use it before a late-night flight too.
Hokkaido Ramen Dojo (3F, after security)
A ramen area inside the boarding area, bringing together 10 shops from around Hokkaido. Every shop has counter seats and is set up with solo diners in mind. It's the go-to spot for a bowl of Hokkaido ramen before your flight, and you can enjoy your meal in peace.
Sapporo Uogashi Gojunanaban Sushi (2F)
A standing sushi bar inside the Dosanko Sanchoku Ichiba market on the 2nd floor of the Domestic Terminal. With counter seating only, it suits solo diners and is handy when you want a quick bite.
Gourmet Conveyor-Belt Sushi Kantaro (International Terminal, 3F)
A conveyor-belt sushi restaurant on the 3rd floor of the International Terminal, where it's easy to eat alone at the counter. A good option if you're flying internationally.
Making the Most of Your Time Before Boarding: Plans by Time Available
Here are combinations of facilities to match how much time you have before boarding.
Under 1 hour
Before security, the most efficient option is to charge up at a counter desk with power on floors 2 or 3 while you clear your email. If you're in a hurry, you can also rent a power bank through the ChargeSPOT app (a mobile battery sharing service) and keep moving.
After security, you can top up your battery at the outlets in the open spaces near the gates.
1–2 hours
PRONTO on the 4th floor is your main option. Working over breakfast or a light meal fits naturally into this time. If you have a video meeting, book a Telecube (telecube.jp) in advance for peace of mind.
2–3 hours or more
The Super Lounge Annex (4F) is worth considering. For ¥1,500 admission you get power at every seat, private booths for video meetings and soft drinks, which suits a long work session. After leaving the lounge, an easy route is to eat at Hokkaido Ramen Dojo or PRONTO before heading to your gate.
